Kim M. Rubin

Kim M. Rubin is a real estate attorney whose practice includes representing clients in acquisition, sale, financing, leasing, development and permitting of real estate throughout the United States. Her clients have included local, national and international banks, institutional lenders, developers, tenants (retail, office and warehouse), non-profit organizations, pension fund advisors, REITs, individuals, venture capitalists, senior housing developers and operators, hotel owners and operators, investment management companies, schools and universities. In addition, Ms. Rubin has been outside general counsel to Congress Group, Inc., a national real estate developer, operator and real estate investment fund sponsor.
Ms. Rubin began her career in September 1988 as an associate in the real estate department of Goodwin Procter LLP. In 1996, she was elected a partner of Goodwin Procter LLP. During the summer of 2004, Ms. Rubin retired from practice at Goodwin Procter LLP and began her own real estate law practice.
In April 1998, Ms. Rubin received the Boston University School of Law Young Lawyer’s Chair for outstanding performance in the legal profession and for public service. She has performed innumerable hours of pro bono work in the Greater Boston area including volunteering as Lawyer for the Day in the Boston Housing Court and representing several non-profit organizations in real estate related matters. Ms. Rubin has been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer as well as one of New England’s Super Lawyers & Rising Stars.
Ms. Rubin was President of the Boston University School of Law Alumni Association (2007 – 2008) and was a member (2004 – 2011) of the Board of Trustees of The Rashi School (and member of its building committee).
Ms. Rubin is also a member of a number of other trade and philanthropic organizations including CREW Boston (formerly known as New England Women in Real Estate), Real Estate Bar Association of Massachusetts and Massachusetts Bar Association. Ms. Rubin is an active member of Needham Chapter of Hadassah and serves on its advisory board. She is also co-chair of the Northeast Chapter of Jewish National Fund Lawyers for Israel group.
Ms. Rubin graduated from Brown University with Honors in 1983. After teaching French and mathematics at a private school in Kansas City, MO, she attended Boston University School of Law where she received several awards and earned her J.D. magna cum laude in 1988.
